How To Hide Your House From Google Maps [Infographic]

It’s not easy to hide from the Internet. Sure, just go offline, but even if you can stay that way, that’s still no guarantee that your name and image wouldn’t pop up on the Internet every now and then. A high school classmate may post a group picture with you in it and talk about you. Your family member could send a picture of your BBQ get-together last weekend to everyone via instant messenger. Your job could post your work on the company website. And your house could be posted on Google Maps without your knowing.

Google Maps has done a good job of capturing panoramic views of the streets of the Earth since it was launched in 2005. And it’s not done yet. It probably would take a picture of every corner of the world if it can, even the most remote of places.

So if you think you are invisible on the Internet just because you don’t go online, think again. Google Maps probably already has the front, sides and back images of your house, including your whole street and neighborhood. You can’t ask it to delete your house’s picture as well. That’s not happening.

You can’t have your house’s images deleted from Google Maps, but you can have it hidden. If you want to learn how to do it, check out this amazing infographic presented by MikesGearReviews.
